Service Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of:

  • the mobile application "Horoscope & Daily Astrology" (the "App");
  • our website at https://www.astrostar.cn and any other websites that link to these Terms (together, the "Sites"); and
  • any related content, features, tools, and services (collectively, the "Services").

The Services are provided by My Company RCHL, Room 2006-7, Rongchanghulian, Overseas Chinese No.1 Square, Nanshan District, Shenzhen (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data, including our use of third-party service providers (such as astrology APIs, AI providers, analytics/measurement, and diagnostics tools). Please read both documents carefully.

Adults only (18+). The Services are intended for adult users (18+) and are made available to users worldwide, subject to applicable local laws.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

1.1 Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

1.2 Account registration (where available)

To access certain features (for example, saving your profile, syncing across devices, or using paid features), you may need to create an account by providing information such as:

  • email address;
  • password or authentication token; and/or
  • display name or nickname.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

1.3 Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

  • notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised; and
  • secure your device and log out or close the App when you are not using it.

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account, except where required by applicable law.

1.4 Third-party logins (where available)

If you sign in using Google or other identity providers, we may receive certain profile information (such as your email address and display name) from those providers. Your use of third-party logins is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers.

2. Description of the Services

2.1 Astrology and AI-based features

Horoscope & Daily Astrology provides digital astrology and self-reflection tools, which may include:

  • Today: daily rhythm / horoscope-style guidance based on your astrological profile;
  • Forecast (Weekly/Monthly/30-Day): multi-day outlooks and "Best Time" / timing suggestions;
  • Explore: charts and interpretations (for example, birth chart, Vedic charts, and other astrological views);
  • Big Three: Sun / Rising / Moon insights (where available);
  • Compatibility / Match: relationship insights when you provide two sets of birth details;
  • Ask AI / Astro Guide: conversational guidance with AI-generated responses; and
  • Notifications: reminders and service-related alerts.

Features may change, be added, removed, or reorganized over time as we improve the Services.

2.2 Entertainment and informational purpose only

All content provided through the Services—including horoscopes, charts, divisional charts, compatibility scores, timing suggestions, "best windows," and AI-generated responses—is intended solely for general information, personal reflection, and entertainment.

The Services do not provide:

  • medical, psychological, or mental health diagnosis or treatment;
  • legal, financial, tax, or investment advice; or
  • professional counseling, therapy, or crisis intervention.

You must not rely on the Services as a substitute for professional advice from qualified experts. If you are experiencing a crisis, emergency, or risk of harm (to yourself or others), do not use the Services. Contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.

2.3 No guarantee of outcomes

Astrological interpretations and AI responses are inherently uncertain and subjective. We do not guarantee that:

  • any prediction or insight will occur;
  • following guidance will lead to specific results; or
  • content will be error-free or suitable for any particular decision.

You remain solely responsible for your decisions and actions.

2.4 No precise location access by default

We do not access your precise GPS location by default and do not require location permissions for core operation. Certain service functions may rely on information such as your device time zone and/or a location you manually select (for example, city/region), as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Relationship to Privacy Policy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains:

  • what personal data we collect (for example, birth details, app activity, and content you submit in Ask AI);
  • how we use and share that data (for example, with astrology APIs, AI providers, and analytics/measurement providers acting as processors); and
  • how you can exercise privacy rights, including account and data deletion.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

For clarity: when your device communicates with our servers, we may receive technical information from network requests (for example, IP address). We may use such information to infer your country/region at a coarse level for operational, analytics, measurement, and testing purposes, as further described in our Privacy Policy.

4. License to Use the Services

4.1 Limited license

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • download and install one copy of the App on a mobile device that you own or control; and
  • access and use the Services solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

4.2 Restricted activities

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works of the Services;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by law;
  • sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or otherwise transfer the Services or any rights to them;
  • use the Services for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws;
  • use automated means (bots/scrapers/crawlers) to access the Services without our permission; or
  • interfere with or disrupt the Services, networks, or security measures.

We reserve all rights not expressly granted under these Terms.

5. User Content & Acceptable Use

5.1 User Content

Certain features (including Ask AI and feedback channels) allow you to submit text or other content ("User Content"). You remain responsible for your User Content.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own or have the necessary rights to submit User Content; and
  • your User Content and use of the Services comply with these Terms and applicable laws.

5.2 Information about other people

If you provide another person's information (for example, for Compatibility / Match), you represent that you have that person's permission or another lawful basis to share their information. You agree not to submit sensitive information about others without consent.

5.3 Prohibited content and behavior

You agree not to submit User Content or use the Services in any way that:

  • is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, or otherwise objectionable;
  • promotes self-harm, violence, or harm to others;
  • infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • contains malware, spam, or deceptive information; or
  • attempts to exploit or bypass security measures.

We may (but are not obligated to) review, remove, or restrict User Content, and may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms.

5.4 License to User Content

By submitting User Content, you grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, display, and distribute that User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the Services, and to create aggregated or de-identified analytics. Personal data within User Content is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

6. Paid Features: Subscriptions, Ask AI Credits, Promotions & Billing

6.1 Overview of paid offerings

Some features are free; others require payment. Paid offerings may include:

  • Subscriptions (for example, weekly/monthly/yearly) that unlock premium content or premium details (for example, detailed readings in Today / Forecast / Explore / Compatibility, where applicable); and
  • Ask AI question credits sold as consumable in-app purchases (for example, question packs).

The App may show purchase prompts (including feature-gated prompts and limited-time promotions) to explain availability of paid content. The purchase flow will show the current terms, price, and billing details before you confirm.

Offer availability and presentation may vary. The Services may present different subscription options, trial/introductory offers, promotions, or pricing display based on factors such as region, eligibility, app context, referral/source information, device or account settings, and/or product testing intended to improve the Services. The applicable terms will be shown to you before you complete a purchase.

6.2 Purchases processed by app stores

Purchases in the App are processed by the relevant app store, such as Google Play or Apple App Store (or other authorized payment providers where available). We do not receive your full payment card number.

Your purchase is also subject to the app store's terms, policies, and billing systems. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the app store's billing terms regarding payment handling, the app store's billing terms will control.

6.3 Subscription terms (auto-renewal)

If you purchase a subscription:

  • you will be charged the subscription price (plus applicable taxes) using the payment method associated with your app store account;
  • subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date/time shown by your app store; and
  • the exact price, billing period, renewal date, and subscription status will be shown in the purchase flow and in your app store account.

Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.

6.4 Free trials and introductory offers (if offered)

From time to time, we may offer free trials or discounted introductory periods. Unless otherwise specified:

  • you will be charged the full subscription price at the end of the trial/introductory period unless you cancel before it ends; and
  • you can cancel during the trial via your app store account settings.

6.5 Ask AI question credits (consumable purchases)

If you purchase Ask AI credits (question packs):

  • credits are digital items for in-app use and have no cash value;
  • credits are non-transferable and may only be used within your account in the App;
  • credit consumption rules (what counts as a "question," whether quick questions differ, etc.) are shown in-app and may evolve as we improve the feature; and
  • except where required by law or store policy, credits are not redeemable for cash and are not exchangeable.

Delivery & errors: If credits are not delivered due to a technical issue, we will make reasonable efforts to restore delivery or provide equivalent credits after verifying the purchase with the app store.

Expiration (only if stated): Credits do not expire unless an expiration is clearly stated in the purchase flow or in-app at the time of purchase.

6.6 Limited-time promotions and discounts (e.g., welcome offers)

We may offer limited-time discounts (for example, a welcome discount that appears after certain in-app actions). Promotion terms may include:

  • eligibility limits (for example, first-time purchase, limited-time availability, one-time use);
  • a countdown/expiration window; and
  • differences between promotional pricing and standard pricing.

The purchase screen is the source of truth: The final price, taxes, and billing terms shown in the app store purchase flow at the time you confirm are controlling. Promotions may end or change at any time as permitted by law and store policy.

6.7 Managing and canceling subscriptions

You can manage or cancel subscriptions via your app store subscription management settings. If you cancel, you typically retain access until the end of the current billing period.

6.8 Pricing changes

We may change subscription prices or introduce new charges. If required by law or store policies, you will receive notice and/or an opportunity to cancel before changes take effect.

6.9 Refunds

Refunds are handled according to the policies of the app store/payment provider through which you made the purchase. We do not guarantee refunds beyond what is required by applicable law or store policies.

If you believe a charge is incorrect:

  • use the app store refund channels; and/or
  • contact us with your order ID and purchase date.

6.10 Testing and measurement (general)

We may run limited tests (for example, evaluating different purchase screens, offers, or user flows) to improve the Services. Where required by applicable law or platform rules, we will provide appropriate notices and/or choices. The purchase flow will display the controlling terms before you confirm any transaction.

7. AI Features & Automated Content

7.1 AI providers

Some parts of the Services are powered by third-party AI providers. When you use Ask AI or automated interpretations:

  • we may send your prompts and relevant astrological context to AI providers to generate responses on our behalf; and
  • those providers process data as described in our Privacy Policy.

7.2 AI limitations and safety

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate. You agree:

  • to use your own judgment before acting on any content;
  • not to use AI features for emergencies, crisis, or life-or-death situations; and
  • that you are responsible for what you choose to share and how you use outputs.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Ownership

All content and materials in the Services (excluding User Content), including software, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, and video, are owned by the Company or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

8.2 Trademarks

"Horoscope & Daily Astrology," "Astrostar," and related names and logos are trademarks or service marks of the Company or its affiliates. You may not use them without prior written consent.

8.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you agree we may use them for any purpose without compensation or obligation to you.

9. Third-Party Services & Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services, or rely on third-party SDKs/APIs (such as astrology APIs, AI providers, analytics/measurement tools like Google Analytics 4 / Firebase, attribution tools like AppsFlyer, or analytics like Umeng). We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their policies or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

10. Suspension & Termination

10.1 Our rights

We may suspend or terminate your access (in whole or part) if:

  • we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or applicable law;
  • we are required by law, regulation, or an app store request; or
  • we decide to discontinue all or part of the Services.

10.2 Your rights

You may stop using the Services at any time. Where available, you may delete your account through in-app controls. Note: deleting your account or the App does not automatically cancel subscriptions; subscription management is handled through your app store.

10.3 Effect of termination

Upon termination:

  • your right to use the Services stops immediately;
  • we may retain certain data as required by law (for example, transaction records); and
  • provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution).

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

You acknowledge:

  • astrology and AI insights are inherently uncertain and subjective; and
  • you are solely responsible for evaluating content and making decisions.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties; in those cases, some exclusions may not apply.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • the Company and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or intangible losses arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Services; and
  • our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of:
    • the amount you paid to us for the Services during the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
    • USD 50.

Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, certain consumer rights, or liability for fraud, gross negligence, or intentional misconduct).

13. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • your use or misuse of the Services;
  • your violation of these Terms; or
  • your violation of any rights of another person or entity (including privacy or intellectual property).

We may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us first and attempt to resolve disputes informally.

Unless mandatory law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of China.

Where permitted by law, you and the Company agree that disputes will be handled on an individual basis and not as class, collective, or representative actions. Mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction remain unaffected.

15. Changes to the Services & Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services at any time, including adding/removing features, changing content availability (including gating of premium details), or reorganizing modules.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will:

  • update the "Last Updated" date; and
  • provide additional notice as required by law (for example, within the App or via email).

Your continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the changes. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement regarding the Services.
  • Severability: If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights/obligations without our consent. We may assign our rights/obligations without restriction (including in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets).
